September 30 – Memorial of Saint Jerome, Priest and Doctor

September 30th, 2015 by Gabriel McAuliffe

Saint Jerome is known for the many things he did, such as the translation of the Bible into Latin for the Church and for his holy and eremitic life. For Discalced Carmelites, he is known for inspiring our Holy Mother Saint Teresa of Jesus to enter Carmelites in the first place by the reading of his letters, which you may find on the New Advent website.
