March 11 – 19: Novena to St. Joseph

March 10th, 2017 by Gabriel McAuliffe

As the Solemnity of Saint Joseph nears, we may prepare for this feast by praying a novena (a prayer of nine days) to Saint Joseph.

We may pray by way of the prayer posted at EWTN.

Note:  This year, the Church assigns Monday, March 20 as the Solemnity of St. Joseph, since March 19 is the Third Sunday of Lent.  Evening Prayer I is reserved (not prayed), as Evening Prayer II of the Third Sunday takes precedence.  All other portions of the Liturgy of the Hours for the Solemnity of St. Joseph are observed.
